It's amazing how a full-time job and full-time student status can wipe out any extra time to create and blog... I know some of you are probably saying, "Welcome to the real world Vaughn!!!" lmao friends... I completely concur...
My daily routine these past few weeks has consisted of commuting from Huntington Beach to the likes of Glendale, Covina, Cypress, and Long Beach...routes that I'm getting use to for my job, but still feel that I spend way too much time in the vehicle and traffic. This is of course after spending the past twenty years in the Pacific Northwest, when of course we would complain about having to drive to the northside of town from the southside or God forbid if you had to drive from downtown Spokane to the Spokane Valley (I'm being sarcastic, I know). But this commuting in SoCal is quickly becoming part of my new normal...and to top it off, our wonderful oil industry has made sure to bank on the whole Lybia crap by raising the gas prices on us. They have nearly doubled since I began over three weeks ago...does anyone else feel completely like this whole fuel pricing gig is completely out of our hands and control? To be honest, they can raise them as high as they want and people like myself have to pay at the pump whatever it is in order to continue working...and there are a lot of us out there, so I'm sure they simply realize that they can take full advantage of hard working Americans. For the first time I actually paid five bucks a gallon in Covina last week. Wrong, simply wrong...
Well I'm fully aware that complaining never got anyone anywhere, especially against the oil companies. Today I'm going through my daily routine of checking and choosing my two most important ingredients of any day (and you can see that I need to), especially if I want it to be productive. Those two ingredients are my attitude and activity - both of which, I have found, make or break your day. A wrong attitude and wrong activity will guarentee a lowsy tomorrow...remember that as you approach this beautiful Monday morn. Wishing all my friends and family the best :)
