why this blog?

The title of this blog says it all, "Paradoxical Adoxography." Adoxography is a term used to describe a skilled writer of unimportant matters. But who defines what is important?  You, the reader of course. I was tempted to call this blog "The Admitted Aeolist," because an Aeolist is a pompous windy bore who pretends to have inspiration.  As I read, listen to music, enjoy the artistic stroke of infants to infinite's, as well as be rendered speechless while walking through eclectic architectural design,  I'm left asking, "where would we be without the parody of whom many would consider an Aeolist?

I don't claim to be a good poet, nor a philosopher, but much of this blog will include what I call "Ideological Compositions:" poetry and prose that I have written during some of the most difficult days and nights, as well as exquisite times of euphoria and peace.  I also am uplifted by the poetry and insights of many others, which I will post under "Unearthed Gems," that are worthy of repitition.  The "aeolist corner" posts are general entries that don't quite fit in either of the other two catagories.

Let's get real.  Life's a journey. Some prefer to simply travel, while others make some notes along the way to memorialize a moment, an epiphany, a conversation, or simple solitude. That's me. After blogging for several years in my first blog, with literally hundreds of entries, I realize that all this will amount to nothing perhaps, but the process is personally rewarding and therapeutic, meaning, worthwhile at least to me, as well as potentially to others...this I can only hope for.
