The Unwelcomed Guest

Your stench is that of an unwelcomed guest
Unseen nightly, yet clandestinely
Hiding underneath my bed.

You find joy in my discomfort
And incessant agitated state.
I’m onto your persistent hunger to devour
My peace, my space

Were you invited by a whim or conversation?
Perhaps a thought unattended,
Now powerfully invasive

Worry is your name and lying is your sport.
Sleep moved out some time ago
Intolerant of your company and so much more

How much longer can you haunt?
What exactly is it that you want?
Sincerely, I’ve given all I can
My peace, my space

Your comfort here is over Worry
As I reclaim my own faith & existence
My peace, my space
For now I see you clearly
In the reflection of my own furrowed face
